In Question of Belief, Kareth Schaffer explores the question of the relationship between belief and action, and the confusions that arise in translation.
In a slowly inflating stage landscape by stage designer Dan Lancea, the performers Madalina Dan and Manon Parent lead a whimsical campaign against the very ordinary demons of everyday life emerging from challenges of staying home in the actual pandemic.
The piece was practiced over months, but due to the pandemic the premiere couldn´t take place with a public audience. Magmastudio was the camera team for this live-stream production and thus the eyes of the audience. We streamed twice on the platform “Drinnen Geblieben”. The challenge was to fully understand the piece and to transport the vision of the choreographer live with no chance to repeat.
